Nothing Like Film!

A couple of weeks ago, I was looking everywhere to find a good photo lab here in Europe, not just any photo lab, I was looking for something very specific: a lab that would process film, b&w, color, 35mm, medium and large format, you named it, I want it all. Back in Miami, I used to process my own b&w and the color I would send it to Dale Labs. They did an exceptional job every time! But since I moved, I did not have enough knowledge about European labs and finding it here was a bit tricky.
I”m glad to say that I found a lab in Kopenhagen where they still process 35mm, medium and large format, print b&w manually and also have push and pull processing. Needless to say I’m a happy guy right now. I want  to thanks Dave from Laboratoriet i Nannasgade in Kopenhagen for the quick return of emails and prompt service.  I was so happy to find the lab, that I did not even care to shoot on expired film, I just want to see what they could do. So here is some of the shots from my expired rolls of Kodak Portra 160 NC rated at 40 ISO and a Fuji Neopan Professional 400 rated at 800 ISO. Shot with my old Canon EOS 10s and 50 mm ƒ1.2. I think I will be shooting more film soon. Some of the shots are just as it came from the lab and some have a minor contrast correction due to scanning. I was also shooting indoors with a daylight film.
